About Font Finder
What we do
Font Finder is a free AI font finder that identifies the typeface used in any image. Upload a screenshot, a photo of signage, a scanned book cover, or a logo, and it analyzes the letterforms to return a ranked list of matching fonts — spanning both free and paid options — complete with foundry, license, and pricing shown up front.
Why we built it
Identifying a font used to mean guessing at serifs and stroke contrast by eye, or posting a crop to a forum and waiting for strangers to weigh in. We built Font Finder to turn that into a ten-second upload: no account, no watermark, no usage cap. If you only care about fonts you can use for free, a single toggle filters out every paid match.
How it works
Upload an image, and the AI font finder scans the text it contains, comparing letterform shapes, proportions, and spacing against a library of free and commercial type. You get a results grid ranked by confidence, and every result doubles as a live preview: type your own headline or body copy in and each font re-renders instantly in your own words. Read more about the process on thehomepage.
Who it's for
Designers use Font Finder to reverse-engineer a client's existing brand. Developers use it to match fonts in a design handoff that arrived as a flat image instead of a source file. Marketers and small business owners use it to figure out what font is on a competitor's packaging or signage before briefing a designer.
